On Thursday, April 18, 2024, Barry Wilson (elected as Mayor of the Town of Windsor, Colorado on April 2, 2024) and Karen Frawley (Town Clerk of the Town of Windsor) were served with the WELD COUNTY DISTRICT COURT SUMMONS. I am sharing the entire document to be transparent with the residents of Windsor. Regardless of the outcome, this case will likely cost Windsor taxpayers a large sum of money and pull the Mayor, Town Board, and town staff away from other priorities. The cartoon “I Object” above is a small attempt to lighten the mood and express my frustration. This is a very serious matter and a sad time for our town.
Barry Wilson stands by the fact that he was an eligible candidate for Mayor and was elected as Mayor in a fair election. Reversing the will of the voters is a slippery slope and should not be take lightly.
Barry Wilson was sworn as Mayor on Monday evening, April 22, 2024 and has hit the street running as Mayor. He also looks forward to the conclusion of this case so our town can move forward.
